Resolved Question: Is it safe to drink tap water?

I live in yorba linda, CA so is it safe to drink the tap water here. it looks as if there is a lot of calcium in it because after a single shower, there is a lot of calcium on the shower door. I am afraid to get health problems now, or in the future, by drinking the water. Am I just worried or is it not ok? Thanks. Im planning to add a home filtration system for my water. Should I?
